Doris

It's my pleasure to say a few words this evening. Anne and I met through a mutual friend Bruce. One evening he invited us to a "Thank Goddess it's Friday Party". I had never been to one and didn't know what to expect. When Anne and her friend Chantal approached asking if I was Doris, it was one of those legendary moments, and how appropriate as we met in the bar called 'Legends'. 

Anne told me she had never been to an evening like this before. We spoke about it for a few minutes when Anne, with her beautiful accent, said "I'm not too sure about this party as I'm, afraid of sex...".

I had never been to these parties before and said, "We don't have to go to the party... I'll be there and you're not obliged to have sex!"

When I said that Anne looked at me with a confused look. She then said "What are you talking about... I said sex... I'm afraid of cults... sects!"

At which point we laughed so much we cried... then she said "You are Scorpio aren't you?" And we have been friends ever since. That was the first of our many laughs together.

Anne had her list of suitors but finding the 'right' man was a challenge until Mark came along. I am so happy for Anne and Mark for they both found gems in each other.
