Well at this point, all of you know me a little bit better…maybe too much through the eyes of Christophe.

Thank you Christophe for a great presentation!

In the past, I have been used to making fashion presentations and I used to start by saying: if anybody has any difficulties understanding me, please let me know immediately, and I will be pleased to repeat. So please do not hesitate to interrupt me at any time.

Mark and I would like to thank everyone for coming to our wedding and especially those who have traveled so far to be with us today.

Those who crossed the Atlantic:

	My Brother Christophe and his friend Nathalie
	My sister Odile, her son Charles who is also my Godchild, and her friend Jean-Georges
	My uncle Bernard and his wife Rolly
	My cousin Marion
	Our closed to our hearts family friends Monique and Pierre

Those who crossed the Pacific:

	My friend for life Allen who gave me the wonderful surprise of hopping in a plane 3 days ago from Taiwan
	Mark’s childhood friend Gary and his wife Vicky, as well as my wonderful friend Jayne who all came from Hong-Kong
	And a special thanks to my loyal friend Louise from Montreal who crossed the prairies and the Rockies.

I decided to save the best for last: I would like to thank someone who has crossed the Atlantic and the Pacific for me many times over the last 10 years: I am talking about my Mother who has a real special place in my heart and who is the most wonderful of all Mothers. Maman, je t’aime.

I also would like to thank the bridesmaids for looking after many tedious details and their wonderful support: Thank you Doris and Debbie

I also would like to thank our MC Allan and John for their great input.

I would like to thank my new family and specially Doreen for welcoming me. You are a breath of fresh air and I treasure our giggles together. This country and this city of Vancouver, for which I have been attracted to, have become even more my home since I have met all of you.

There are a few missing people tonight: my Brother Olivier, his wife Carole and their new-born baby girl Cosima, the rest of my family, my Godmother Denise, and those who could not be with us tonight: Mark’s father Stewart and my father. They have been however very present today in our hearts.

And now, I would like to say a few words about my fiancé, Ouups you have to press the Delete key, he is my husband now. I’ve got to get used to that new word.

I would like first to mention 2 anecdotes:

When we met for the first time 2 years ago day for day, thanks to our common friend Sue, a toast to Sue….., I was coming off the tennis courts in my tennis skirt and you were able to check out my legs straight away. You must be a lucky boy….

In fact, you must be doubly lucky knowing that the first time I saw you, you were going through a very bad hair day and I decided to stick around anyway. I then discovered what to expect to see in the morning when I wake up….

the second anecdote was the moment I realized you were serious about the relationship: you let my dog Gaelle entering your car and seating on your immaculate jet black leather seats. That day you won a few points.

Since the day we met, and each day that passed after that, we have grown to learn about each other and my love for you has deepened. You have opened your heart, your mind, your home and your life to me. I want you to know that I feel blessed and honored to be called Anne M*******.

I love you, Sweetie.
